New Construction

Siding is one of the most visible components of any new construction project. It covers the exterior walls of the building and provides a finished look that can greatly impact the building’s overall aesthetic appeal. A well-chosen and properly installed siding material can significantly enhance the building’s curb appeal, creating a positive first impression and increasing the value of the property. Having a contractor with a comprehensive understanding of siding is vital because what is visible is only a fraction of the complete picture.

Laneway / Infill house done for Saint Group in the Vancouver area. This infill house has Tyvek as a weather barrier covered with 2" semirigid insulation Roxul Comfortboard. Vertical 1x4 treated strapping was used over the insulation. 3 sides of the house are covered with horizontal pressure-treated strapping as an attachment layer for Cedar Shingles. The west side of the house is covered with Hardie Shingle panels as a requirement for fire safety. We have also prepared a board for a beautiful soffit over the entrance covered with tiles.
White Rock house. Complete house renovation managed and done by Square One Construction & Renovations. We provided complete exterior siding. Installing Weather barrier-Tyvek, rainscreen system. For siding we have used Hardie Planks with 4" exposure and Cedar shakes with 7" exposure. Soffit is vinyl beaded, white.

Also vinyl beaded soffit and LUX Architectural metal soffit over at the entrance porch and roof.

Renovation

To renovate the exterior of an existing building, updating or replacing the siding is necessary. Cedar Shakes replacement was done for the homeowners. A customer called us after the roof has been fixed with a poor visual result and asked us if we can fix it. Yes, we can. The biggest challenge was accessing the area. We made it. Cedar shingles around the dorm are ready for spring painting.
Another project was done for My House Design/Build/Team. After they finished the awesome home renovation in Coquitlam, the vinyl siding above the glass roof needed to be changed for Hardie planks, so it will not be affected by sun reflection from the glass roof belove. The biggest challenge was the access and handling over the glass roof. But nothing we cannot manage. The result? You do not see any difference between the original siding and the new one.

Next step was to reframe for new type of windows and make the bays squared. We have used Soprema self-adhered membrane for the front and east side of the house and Tyvek for the rest to lower the cost. As a siding we installed Hardie 2.0 with reveal trims and Longboard 4" for the soffit. We also took care about the stone installation.

Early spring renovation for the fabulous older lady in Burnaby. Her dream was to have a stone at the front of the house. We made her dream become true. Also, we changed old rotten cedar siding for new Hardie planks in ColorPlus.
A small renovation was done in North Vancouver. The owner was sick of the stucco around the entrance and dreamed to have Cedar. We made it for him in 2 days.
And one more renovation is done for My House Design/Build/Team. Cedar bevel siding, soffit, and fascia replacement were done in North Vancouver within a week.
